Experience
I've been a teacher for children from two years old to students in the 8th grade for seven years. Currently, I teach 1st grade, where I'm the lead teacher in an inclusion classroom that combines ESL, special needs, and regular education students. I have a master's degree in teaching, a Special Education certification, a Supervisor of Instruction certification, and an Elementary Teaching certificate, which enables me to teach children in grades K-5. All of my teaching degrees were obtained at Saint Peter's University. I plan to continue my education at New Jersey City University, where I will work to complete the Learning Disabilities Teaching Consultant certification program. Additionally, I'm an Early Interventionist, and I work with children from infancy to age three who have specific developmental delays or disabilities.I adore working with children, and maintain high standards of learning. I believe that education is extremely important for young children, because the skills and material they learn stay with them throughout their academic career and adult life. I tutor students in elementary school math, life sciences, geography, reading, writing, phonics, grammar, art, handwriting, science, and social studies. I'm also available to help kids prepare to take the PARCC, ISEE lower level, and SSAT elementary level exams.
